Marquette, MI – Snow, rain, and gusty winds are set to sweep through Marquette on Wednesday, April 2, disrupting travel and outdoor plans.

A mix of snow and rain is forecast to begin after 2 p.m., intensifying by 3 p.m. Blowing snow will affect visibility, especially along US-41 and nearby highways. Wind gusts could reach 30 mph, creating dangerous conditions for drivers and pedestrians.

According to the National Weather Service, the day will start cloudy with snow developing mid-afternoon, changing to rain by late day. Temperatures will reach a high near 39°F. Snow accumulation is expected to be under an inch, but the combination of wet roads and wind makes travel risky, especially during the evening commute.

Residents should secure outdoor items and prepare for possible delays. Those with travel plans are urged to monitor road conditions and allow extra time.

By Wednesday night, precipitation will taper off, with a low around 34°F. Winds from the south will continue with gusts up to 25 mph.
