Marquette, MI – Storms are set to sweep into Michigan’s Upper Peninsula on Friday, bringing a noticeable change in weather. As residents enjoy the final summery days of the week, showers are expected to develop late Thursday into Friday.

According to the US National Weather Service in Marquette, temperatures will remain mild on Thursday, with highs near 85 degrees, but conditions will shift by Friday. A 45% chance of showers will bring cooler temperatures, with highs peaking at 78 degrees.

Showers may continue into Saturday, keeping the region damp but not washed out. While the storms could bring relief from the recent heat, temperatures are expected to drop into the 60s by Sunday, signaling a return to more seasonal weather.

The Upper Peninsula should prepare for possible rain and cooler winds, particularly on Friday and Saturday. Residents are advised to monitor local weather updates as conditions develop throughout the weekend.
