Grand Rapids, MI – After a round of thunderstorms Monday, Grand Rapids residents can expect a calmer but warmer shift in weather heading into Tuesday.
According to the National Weather Service, Tuesday, June 10 will bring mostly sunny skies and a high of 72°F, with west winds up to 11 mph and gusts reaching 24 mph. While no additional storms are expected Tuesday, Wednesday marks a notable warm-up — highs will climb to 84°F under clear skies, pushing the region into peak early-summer conditions.
West Michigan counties including Kent, Ottawa, and Muskegon should plan for increasing heat and breezy conditions through midweek. Though Tuesday night remains mostly clear with lows around 57°F, a 40% chance of showers is expected to return by Wednesday night, especially after 8 p.m. No severe storms are forecast, but residents should stay alert for possible thunder and plan accordingly for outdoor activities.
Thursday remains partly cloudy with a high of 77°F, but showers remain a threat into Thursday night, with another 40% chance of rain and lows around 57°F. By Friday, light showers continue with temperatures holding steady in the low 70s.
Motorists along I-196 and U.S. 131 should remain cautious of slick roads during any evening rainfall later in the week. It’s also a good time to check air conditioning units and hydration routines as temps push higher midweek.
More updates and possible advisories may be issued by Wednesday night as conditions shift.
