Detroit, MI – Spring weather is settling into Michigan with rising temperatures, but rain and breezy conditions will impact the weekend. After a sunny and mild Thursday, the Detroit metro area will see increasing clouds and a chance of rain starting late Friday night into Saturday.

According to the National Weather Service, temperatures will climb into the mid-50s on Thursday before reaching the upper 60s on Friday. However, a shift in weather is expected Friday night as rain moves in after 2 a.m., with a 70% chance of showers continuing into Saturday. Breezy conditions will accompany the rain, potentially impacting travel along I-94 and other major roadways.

Saturday will see highs near 70°F, but off-and-on rain is expected through the afternoon. Sunday offers a brief break with partly cloudy skies and cooler temperatures near 54°F. Overnight lows will dip into the mid-30s before another warming trend early next week.

For those with outdoor plans, Friday evening remains dry, but by Saturday, umbrellas and rain gear will be necessary. Drivers should anticipate wet roads, especially on major highways. Looking ahead, Monday and Tuesday will bring mostly sunny skies with highs in the upper 50s.
