Michigan Snow Forecast: Up to 5 Inches Expected in Northern Regions This Weekend

Gaylord, MI – A prolonged period of light to moderate snow will impact Michigan’s Upper and northern Lower Peninsula through Sunday. Snow will move north of the Mackinac Bridge before spreading into northern lower Michigan overnight.

According to the National Weather Service in Gaylord, snowfall totals could reach up to 5 inches in some areas, with the heaviest accumulation near Drummond Island and Sault Ste. Marie. Most areas will see between 1-5 inches by Sunday evening.

Temperatures will fall to 6-20°F overnight, with highs between 29-36°F on Sunday. Light snow will continue throughout the day, followed by a wintry mix Monday that could create hazardous road conditions.

By Tuesday, colder temperatures and mostly cloudy skies will settle in. Drivers should prepare for slick roads and monitor local weather updates.
