Detroit, MI – Michiganders will face a chilly weekend before temperatures rise next week, bringing a shift in conditions across the region.

Next week, temperatures will turn milder, with highs in the 40s and lows in the 20s and 30s. Rain is expected Monday and Tuesday, with a mix of rain and snow possible early Monday. Winds will pick up, with gusts reaching 24 mph on Saturday.

Drivers should be cautious of potentially slick roads, especially during overnight hours when temperatures dip below freezing. Those heading outdoors should dress warmly for the frigid mornings.

The extended forecast suggests mostly cloudy skies through midweek, with occasional rain chances Wednesday and Thursday. The region may see a more consistent warm-up toward the end of next week.
