Miami, FL – The National Weather Service in Miami reports that moisture will return to South Florida on Sunday, bringing a 20–30% chance of scattered showers across the region through midday Monday.
After a quiet and mostly dry Saturday, cloud cover from Florida Bay and the Florida Keys will increase tonight ahead of an approaching frontal boundary. Light rain and isolated showers are expected to develop across Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, and Monroe Counties on Sunday morning.
According to the NWS, rainfall amounts are forecast to remain light—generally less than 0.25 inches, though a very small (<5%) chance exists for a heavier shower producing over 1 inch of rain in isolated areas, potentially causing minor ponding in low-lying spots.
Conditions will gradually clear by Monday afternoon, with partly sunny skies and seasonal temperatures returning through midweek.
Forecast Snapshot:
- Tonight: Increasing clouds, lows near 70°F
- Sunday: Scattered light showers (20–30%), highs mid-80s
- Monday: Early showers taper, mostly dry PM
