Miami, FL – Patchy fog and hazardous marine conditions are expected across South Florida this weekend, potentially impacting travel and beachgoers. Fog could reduce visibility to half a mile in some areas late Friday into early Saturday, particularly in interior and southwest regions. Meanwhile, an increased risk of rip currents along Atlantic beaches will persist into next week.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Miami, patchy fog is most likely overnight and early morning hours, especially inland. Drivers should use caution, as visibility may drop significantly. Along the coast, shifting easterly winds will elevate rip current threats from Miami Beach up to Palm Beach County, making swimming conditions hazardous.

Saturday and Sunday will bring mostly sunny skies, with highs reaching the upper 70s. Winds will remain light but shift northeast at 10–13 mph. Overnight lows will stay in the mid-60s. By early next week, stronger onshore winds could make beach conditions even more dangerous, with hazardous marine conditions expected to increase by midweek.

Looking ahead, South Florida will see slightly warmer temperatures by Tuesday, with highs nearing 80°F. A 20% chance of showers arrives Wednesday into Thursday, but no major storms are forecasted at this time.

Beachgoers should heed local advisories and avoid swimming in areas with posted warnings. For updated conditions, visit the NWS Miami website or check local forecasts.
