Melbourne, FL – Warm weather returns today with highs reaching the upper 70s to low 80s across Melbourne and surrounding areas. While skies will be mostly sunny, the National Weather Service (NWS) warns of a moderate rip current risk at area beaches. Visitors are urged to exercise caution while swimming and check local beach flags before entering the water.

According to the NWS Melbourne office, winds will shift southeast at 5 to 10 mph, keeping the air dry and comfortable through the afternoon. Tonight, partly cloudy skies are expected with lows dipping to around 65 degrees.

The rest of the week brings a mix of conditions. Tuesday will remain mostly sunny, with a high near 79, making it an ideal day for outdoor activities. However, by Wednesday, a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms moves into the area. Temperatures will peak near 82 before a cold front passes, bringing significantly cooler weather by midweek.
