Medford, OR – Dense morning fog will blanket Medford and the surrounding Rogue Valley through Friday, giving way to sunny skies by midday. Drivers and early risers should prepare for reduced visibility, which may drop below half a mile in some areas before 10 a.m.
According to the National Weather Service, the foggy mornings will be accompanied by calm winds and temperatures in the low 30s. By afternoon, the fog will lift, and clear skies will bring highs in the low to mid-40s early in the week, climbing to 53 degrees by Thursday.
Residents are encouraged to drive cautiously during foggy conditions, particularly along Interstate 5 and near Rogue Valley International Airport. Reduced visibility can make commutes hazardous, especially during early morning hours.
The forecast also calls for mostly clear evenings, with temperatures dropping into the upper 20s to low 30s at night. Light winds will persist, keeping conditions stable through the workweek.
The sunny afternoons are a welcome break for the area following recent periods of overcast weather. Warmer temperatures and drier conditions are expected to hold steady into the weekend, making it an ideal time for outdoor activities once the fog lifts.
