Normal, IL – Colin S. Simpson was arrested on Wednesday by the US Marshal’s Task Force in connection with a shooting that occurred on last year on March 6, 2023, on West Orlando Avenue, Normal, IL.
According to Normal Police reports, the incident resulted in two individuals being injured, who have since received treatment and were released from the hospital. Simpson, reportedly identified after a thorough investigation by the Normal Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Unit, faces multiple charges, including two counts of attempted murder and aggravated battery.
The charges have been reviewed by the McLean County State’s Attorney’s Office. Simpson is presumed innocent until proven guilty. The NPD urges anyone with information about the shooting to contact them or use their anonymous Tip411 service.
