Boston, MA – Sunshine and warm air are sweeping across southern New England today, bringing dry conditions and high temperatures into the 80s for much of Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island.

According to the National Weather Service in Boston, highs will range from 72°F in Nantucket to 84°F in Waterbury, CT, with Boston and Worcester topping out near 83°F and 82°F, respectively. Inland cities like Hartford and Springfield are also seeing temps climb into the mid-80s under clear skies.

Coastal areas will stay cooler, with places like New London, Plymouth, and Hyannis hovering in the low to mid-70s. Nantucket remains the coolest at 72°F, while Provincetown sees a more moderate 78°F.

Drivers and outdoor workers should stay hydrated and limit strenuous activity in peak afternoon sun. While not extreme, this is the warmest air mass to settle over the region in early June so far. No rain is expected, and humidity levels will remain low through the evening.

Conditions stay calm through midweek, but warmer and more humid weather may return by Friday.
