Boston, MA – Residents across Massachusetts can expect a frigid start to the week as temperatures remain in the low 30s today. By Tuesday, highs near 29°F are expected, but sunny skies will persist, offering some relief from the winter chill.

According to the National Weather Service, Boston’s Monday high will top out at 31°F under partly sunny skies. Overnight, temperatures will dip to a brisk 17°F, with winds from the northwest reaching up to 20 mph.

Tuesday brings slightly lower temperatures, with highs reaching 29°F and wind gusts as strong as 30 mph. If venturing outdoors, dress in layers to guard against the biting wind chill, which could feel closer to 15°F.

The extended forecast shows a gradual warming trend later in the week. By Friday, highs are expected to climb to 38°F under sunny skies. Lows, however, will continue to hover in the teens and low 20s through midweek, so frost remains likely during early morning hours.

Drivers should remain cautious on roadways, particularly during early morning and late-night commutes when icy patches are possible. Pedestrians should also watch for slick sidewalks, especially in shaded areas.

Looking ahead, the weekend offers similar conditions, with partly sunny skies and highs in the mid-30s on Saturday. By Sunday, temperatures may approach 37°F, marking a milder trend to close out the week.
