Baltimore, MD – Rain and warmer temperatures are expected to dominate the weather across Maryland this weekend, with showers and potential thunderstorms likely through Monday.
According to the National Weather Service Baltimore/Washington, isolated showers will begin Friday afternoon as clouds increase ahead of a passing disturbance. Highs will range from the mid-60s to mid-70s in the urban and bay areas, with winds out of the southwest at 7 to 15 mph and gusts up to 20 mph.
Saturday remains warm but cloudy, with highs from 76 to 84 degrees in central Maryland and 68 to 78 degrees in the mountains. Winds will continue from the southwest, gusting up to 20 mph.
On Sunday, a warm front will lift north, bringing continued warmth and a higher chance of scattered showers. Urban regions can expect highs between 71 and 80 degrees, with wind gusts reaching 25 mph.
Thunderstorms become more likely by Monday as a cold front pushes into the region. The weather shifts sharply Tuesday with cooler, clearer conditions and a return of sunshine.
Residents should monitor forecasts, limit outdoor activities during thunderstorms, and secure loose items due to gusty winds. Showers may return by midweek, with seasonable temperatures forecasted into Thursday.
