Baltimore, MD – A dense fog advisory remains in effect across Maryland until 6 a.m. Wednesday, significantly reducing visibility along the I-95 corridor and surrounding areas. Hazardous travel conditions are expected throughout the day as heavy rain and gusty winds move through the region.
According to the National Weather Service, rainfall totals will range between 0.5 to 1.25 inches, with the highest amounts expected in urban areas. Winds are forecast to pick up in the afternoon, with gusts reaching 39 mph, adding to travel difficulties. Commuters are urged to exercise caution, slow down, and use headlights when navigating foggy and slick roadways.
Conditions will improve Thursday as a cold front moves through, bringing sunny but cooler weather. Highs are expected to reach 42°F with winds gusting up to 31 mph, making it feel even chillier. By Friday and Saturday, sunny skies will dominate, with daytime highs in the mid-40s and overnight lows dipping to around 30°F.
Travelers along the I-95 corridor should remain vigilant, especially during morning commutes, and prepare for delays due to low visibility and standing water on the roads.
