Baltimore, MD – Maryland residents near Baltimore’s shoreline are under a coastal flood advisory this weekend, with heavy rain and rising tides expected. The National Weather Service has issued warnings for flooding, particularly in low-lying areas. Flooding is projected to occur around Thames Street in Baltimore and the Patapsco River near Bowleys Quarters, especially at high tide.

According to the National Weather Service, the coastal flood advisory remains in effect until Saturday morning at 7:00 a.m. with up to half a foot of water above ground level in vulnerable areas. Residents are urged to avoid driving through flooded roadways and to take precautions to protect property from rising water.

Showers and patchy fog are expected to persist through the weekend, with a high of 85°F on Saturday, followed by scattered showers into Sunday. Drivers should exercise caution, particularly on roads near the harbor and waterways. High tides are expected to peak near 4:35 a.m. Saturday at Fort McHenry, exacerbating flood risks. The public is advised to monitor updates and prepare for potential weather disruptions into early next week.
