Maryland Blizzard Warning: Up to 10 Inches of Snow Possible in Garrett County

Garrett County, MD – A blizzard warning issued for Garrett County begins at 9 p.m. Wednesday and extends until 3 p.m. Thursday. Heavy snow and high winds are expected to make travel extremely dangerous.

The National Weather Service warns of potential snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches, with isolated areas receiving up to 10 inches. Winds could gust as high as 55 mph, leading to whiteout conditions and possible power outages.

Drivers are urged to stay off the roads, as visibility will be near zero in some areas, especially early Thursday morning. Residents are encouraged to secure loose outdoor items and prepare for potential power outages.
