Winter Weather Advisories remain in effect for the northern Upper Peninsula. Forecasters predict an additional 2 to 5 inches of snow through Wednesday evening due to lake effect snow bands.
According to the National Weather Service in Marquette, strong winds will cause heavy snowfall rates and blowing snow. This could significantly reduce visibility and create hazardous travel conditions, especially near Lake Superior.
Temperatures will remain cold, with lows dropping between 11° and 19° overnight. Highs on Wednesday will range from 15° to 26°, while Thursday will bring slightly warmer temperatures.
Officials urge residents to prepare for dangerous road conditions. Snow accumulation and gusty winds could lead to delays and travel difficulties. Drivers should use caution and check road conditions before traveling.
The storm will taper off by late Wednesday, but lingering flurries could persist into Thursday. Residents should stay informed on weather updates.
