According to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), the earthquake occurred at 2:15 p.m. Pacific Time. Though classified as minor, several people in the surrounding area have felt the quake and are sharing their experiences. USGS has encouraged individuals to submit “Did You Feel It?” reports to help improve the agency’s understanding of regional seismic activity.
By Thursday evening, over 50 responses had been recorded from local residents, according to the USGS website. While no major damage or injuries were reported, the tremor serves as a reminder of Southern California’s seismic activity.
