According to the National Weather Service, light snow is expected north of the Katahdin region during the day, with scattered snow showers spreading into the Bangor region and Downeast Maine tonight. Temperatures will reach highs near 26 degrees Tuesday before dipping to 15 degrees overnight. Wind gusts up to 28 mph could further reduce visibility, especially in exposed areas.
On Wednesday, cloudy skies will bring additional snow showers. Highs will hover near 26 degrees, and accumulations of up to one inch are possible. Winds will continue from the west at 14 mph, gusting up to 25 mph. The weather is expected to impact local commutes and potentially delay travel plans.
Looking ahead, snow showers will persist through Thursday morning, with drier and milder conditions forecast for Friday. Thursday’s highs will reach 31 degrees, followed by 33 degrees on Friday with partly sunny skies. Drivers and pedestrians should remain vigilant for icy patches during the morning and evening hours.
