Maine Weather Alert: Snow, Rain, and Mild Temperatures Expected Through Thursday

Caribou, ME – A frontal system moving in from the west Monday evening will bring increasing southerly winds and light snow across northern Maine, with some blowing snow expected in certain areas. Low temperatures will range from the upper 20s in the north to the low 30s Downeast.

According to the National Weather Service in Caribou, snow accumulations of around an inch are expected across the north overnight.

Tuesday will be mostly cloudy and mild, with a small wave of low pressure bringing light snow north and rain Downeast by nightfall. An additional inch of snow is possible across the north, while daytime highs will reach near 40°F statewide.

By Wednesday, conditions will improve slightly, with partly sunny skies and temperatures in the low 30s north to near 40°F in coastal areas.

Another system on Thursday is expected to bring light snow to the north and rain to the south, with highs once again in the low 30s north to near 40°F Downeast.

Residents should prepare for fluctuating conditions and possible slick roads due to intermittent snowfall and rain.
