Caribou, ME – Northern Maine residents can expect freezing temperatures, gusty winds, and scattered snow showers through Sunday evening, with sub-zero wind chills making conditions hazardous. Wind chills are predicted to drop into the teens below zero in northern regions, with single-digit lows for Bangor and surrounding areas.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Caribou, wind gusts on Sunday could reach 30 mph, intensifying the cold. Travelers are urged to drive cautiously and prepare for low visibility in areas experiencing snowfall.

By Sunday night, temperatures will drop to around 6°F, with northwest winds sustaining speeds of 15–18 mph. Monday brings partly sunny skies and highs near 19°F, but the cold will persist, with gusts up to 31 mph. Light snow showers remain possible into midweek, with temperatures moderating slightly by Tuesday and Wednesday, reaching highs in the mid-20s.
