According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Caribou, areas including Presque Isle, Fort Kent, and Dover-Foxcroft could see snow accumulations between 6 and 9 inches, with wind gusts reaching up to 40 mph. The Winter Storm Watch, issued early Tuesday, warns of hazardous travel conditions and potential power outages from downed trees and power lines.

The most significant impacts are expected Wednesday night through Thursday, with visibility likely reduced to near zero in some areas due to blowing snow. Drivers are urged to avoid unnecessary travel and keep emergency supplies in their vehicles.

• Saturday: Mostly sunny but brisk. High 32°F, low 14°F.
