Louisville, Kentucky – Rain will linger across Louisville through Monday evening as a slow-moving upper-level low continues to pull cloud cover and intermittent showers into the region.

According to the National Weather Service in Louisville, occasional rain is expected through late Monday, with daytime highs ranging from the upper 50s to low 60s. While rainfall amounts remain light, the persistent drizzle and saturated conditions could lead to reduced visibility during the morning and evening commutes. Winds will stay light, but skies will remain stubbornly gray until drier air arrives on Tuesday.

Metro Louisville and surrounding counties, including Oldham, Bullitt, and Shelby, can expect patchy wet roads—especially on elevated surfaces like I-64 and the Gene Snyder Freeway. While flooding isn’t anticipated, drivers are urged to slow down and allow extra travel time during periods of heavier rain. Outdoor events and construction could also face minor delays due to the wet conditions.

Temperatures will rise into the low 70s by Tuesday as skies begin clearing. Sunshine is expected to return gradually, bringing a much-needed break from the damp start to the week.

Additional updates may follow if rainfall increases or if any advisories are issued Monday evening.
