Shreveport, LA – Frigid conditions continue Thursday, but a warming trend is on the way as an arctic air mass moves out. The National Weather Service has issued a Cold Weather Advisory until 10 a.m. Friday, with wind chills as low as 8 degrees. However, temperatures will gradually climb into the weekend.
According to the National Weather Service, Friday will see partly sunny skies with highs near 41 degrees, improving significantly from Thursday’s chill. Lows will dip to around 29 degrees Friday night. Saturday brings more sunshine and highs near 50 degrees, followed by a slight chance of rain Saturday night. By Sunday, temperatures rise to 54 degrees, with a 30% chance of showers before noon.
Next week, Shreveport warms up even further, with highs reaching near 76 degrees by Tuesday. Residents are advised to dress warmly through Friday morning, especially during early commutes. After that, expect milder conditions for weekend outdoor activities.
