Shreveport, LA – Mild and sunny conditions will dominate Friday across Louisiana, but an incoming system is expected to bring showers and possible thunderstorms by Saturday night. Residents should take advantage of Friday’s clear skies before preparing for potential wet weather over the weekend.

According to the National Weather Service, Friday’s high will reach 52°F under sunny skies, with calm winds from the southwest. Conditions will remain clear Friday night, with a low near 31°F. By Saturday, clouds will increase as temperatures climb to a pleasant 59°F. Winds will shift southward, gusting up to 20 mph, signaling a change in weather patterns.

Showers are likely to develop Saturday night, becoming widespread after midnight. There is also a possibility of thunderstorms, particularly along travel corridors like I-20 and US 79. Motorists are encouraged to use caution, especially during late-night travel. Rain chances remain at 60% Saturday night, with a low of 46°F.

Sunday will bring additional rainfall and thunderstorms, with a high of 53°F. Wet conditions are expected to persist into Sunday night, though rain should taper off by Monday morning. By midweek, temperatures will rebound slightly, with highs reaching 62°F Tuesday under mostly cloudy skies.

Residents should plan ahead for outdoor activities and monitor local forecasts for updates on storm development.
