Shreveport, Louisiana – Tonight, Louisiana will see clearing storms from west to east, bringing mostly cloudy skies throughout the evening. However, the overnight hours could bring a new hazard for travelers: patchy fog.

According to the National Weather Service, temperatures will dip to a range of 58-65°F, with winds remaining light and variable. The primary concern will be the development of fog, which could significantly reduce visibility on area roadways by early morning, particularly along I-20 and I-49.

In Shreveport and surrounding cities like Bossier City, the fog is expected to be more concentrated after midnight and may persist until dawn. Drivers are urged to use caution, especially on highways and rural roads, where the fog could create hazardous conditions.

While the storms will move out, clearing skies could also cause a sudden drop in temperature, making conditions even more favorable for fog development. Fog can form quickly, so travelers should monitor conditions closely.

Warnings for reduced visibility remain in effect overnight, with the situation expected to improve by Tuesday morning.
