Louisiana Dense Fog Advisory in Effect Until 9 AM—Drivers Urged to Use Caution

New Orleans, LA – A dense fog advisory is in place until 9 a.m. Tuesday, affecting visibility across southeastern Louisiana and parts of southern Mississippi. Commuters should prepare for hazardous driving conditions, with visibility dropping to a quarter-mile or less in some areas.

According to the National Weather Service, areas including New Orleans, Gretna, Baton Rouge, and Gulfport will experience reduced visibility throughout the morning. Drivers are advised to slow down, use low-beam headlights, and leave extra distance between vehicles.

By late morning, fog will clear, giving way to partly sunny skies with a high of 74°F. Tonight, expect mostly cloudy conditions and a low near 59°F. Wednesday will start cloudy before becoming mostly sunny, with a high of 73°F.

Looking ahead, temperatures will rise into the upper 70s by Thursday and Friday, with patchy fog returning in the early mornings. South winds will remain light throughout the week.
