Shreveport, LA – Residents in Shreveport and surrounding areas should prepare for dangerously cold temperatures overnight, followed by a warming trend and rain this weekend. A Cold Weather Advisory remains in effect until 10 a.m. Friday, with wind chills dropping as low as 10 degrees.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) Shreveport, Friday will bring increasing clouds with highs near 41°F, though wind chills will still feel below freezing in the morning. By Friday night, calm conditions will persist, with lows around 30°F.

Saturday offers some relief with mostly sunny skies and highs reaching 51°F, though a slight chance of showers moves in by the evening. Sunday brings a 30% chance of rain, with highs climbing to 56°F before temperatures dip back to the low 40s overnight.

Looking ahead, Monday and Tuesday will see a noticeable warm-up, with highs hitting 70°F and 75°F, respectively. Residents should dress in layers, use caution when traveling early Friday, and prepare for potential wet roads Sunday.
