Little Rock, Ark. – The risk of severe weather in Arkansas remains low through Monday, though scattered thunderstorms may pop up across the state, especially through Thursday.

According to the National Weather Service in Little Rock, no organized severe weather is expected from May 27 through June 2. While general thunderstorms may occur—particularly in southern and eastern parts of the state on Tuesday and Wednesday—these are expected to remain weak and widely spaced.

Cities like Hot Springs, Pine Bluff, and El Dorado may see brief downpours or lightning, but damaging winds or hail are not anticipated. The storm system currently affecting the region is active but lacks the ingredients for widespread severe activity. Rain chances diminish significantly heading into the weekend, with Friday through Monday showing no severe weather risk statewide.

Residents are still encouraged to remain weather-aware, especially when outdoors or traveling during active storms. Use caution on wet roads and secure loose outdoor items if thunderstorms are nearby.

The National Weather Service will continue to monitor the pattern in case of changes, but no watches or warnings are currently expected. The next outlook will be updated daily with any shifts in potential storm strength.
