Tulsa, OK – Severe storms are expected to return late tonight, primarily impacting northeastern Oklahoma through Thursday morning.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS) Tulsa, storm chances will expand across much of eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas Thursday afternoon as a frontal boundary moves in. Forecasters warn of locally strong winds during the day, with peak storm activity occurring between 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Heavy rain and thunderstorms could develop as early as 4 a.m. Thursday. The storms may intensify, posing a risk of dangerous lightning and strong winds. The main threat will persist into the evening and may last until midnight.
