Las Vegas, NV – Southern Nevada is bracing for an unseasonably cold start to the week, with morning lows forecast to dip below freezing in multiple areas. Las Vegas is expected to see a low of 29°F early Tuesday morning, marking the first sub-30°F reading since January 2022.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Las Vegas, temperatures across the region will remain chilly through midweek. Neighboring cities like Pahrump and Kingman, AZ, will experience even colder conditions, with lows of 21°F and 22°F on Tuesday, respectively. Bishop, CA, faces the coldest temperatures in the region, with lows plummeting to 17°F Tuesday morning.
The NWS advises residents to bundle up, wear scarves and hats, and limit outdoor exposure during these frigid mornings. “Be sure to grab a jacket before heading out,” the agency said.
While daytime highs will remain mild, ranging from 52°F to 63°F through Thursday, overnight and early morning temperatures pose risks of frostbite for those unprepared. Drivers should also be cautious of frost on windshields.
The cold snap will moderate by Wednesday, with Las Vegas warming to highs near 62°F. Residents are encouraged to monitor local forecasts for updates.
