Pittsburgh, PA – Frigid temperatures and lingering snow showers will continue to affect Pittsburgh and surrounding areas through Thursday, with lake-effect snow gradually subsiding by late afternoon. Temperatures will remain well below normal, with highs peaking near 24°F.

According to the National Weather Service, a snow warning remains in effect until 1 p.m. Thursday, with light accumulations under half an inch expected in the city. Temperatures will drop overnight to a low of 7°F, with wind chills potentially falling below zero. While snow will taper off by Thursday evening, conditions will remain cold. Friday brings mostly sunny skies but continued low temperatures, with highs around 25°F. A new snow system may arrive late Friday evening into Saturday, bringing potential accumulations of 1–3 inches.

Looking ahead, Sunday promises milder conditions with partly cloudy skies and a high near 29°F. However, temperatures will dip back into the teens overnight. Another snow system may return early next week, keeping conditions wintry.

Residents are advised to dress warmly and monitor road conditions through the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. Stay updated with the latest forecasts as weather patterns remain active through the weekend.
