Cass County, MI – A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for parts of southwest Michigan from late Wednesday morning through early Thursday afternoon, bringing lake effect snow and strong winds to the region.

According to the National Weather Service in Northern Indiana, snow is expected to begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday and continue through 1 p.m. Thursday. Accumulations are forecasted to range from 2 to 4 inches, with some areas potentially seeing higher amounts. Wind gusts of up to 40 mph are likely, leading to blowing and drifting snow.

The advisory covers Cass, Northern Berrien, Southern Berrien, and St. Joseph counties in Michigan. The most hazardous conditions are anticipated Wednesday evening and Thursday morning, potentially affecting commutes with slippery roads and reduced visibility.

Motorists are urged to slow down and exercise caution while traveling. For updated road conditions, drivers can call 511 in Michigan.
