Morehead, KY – A powerful winter storm is set to bring heavy snowfall to eastern Kentucky, with accumulations ranging from 3 to 7 inches by Thursday.
According to the National Weather Service in Jackson, the Winter Storm Warning will be in effect from 7 p.m. Tuesday until noon Thursday, covering Bath, Rowan, Montgomery, Pulaski, Laurel, Pike, and surrounding counties. The heaviest snowfall is expected overnight and into Wednesday morning, with a brief break before a second round arrives Wednesday evening through Thursday.
Roads are expected to become hazardous, particularly during the Wednesday morning and evening commutes. Drivers are urged to limit travel and prepare for difficult conditions, especially east of Interstate 75.
