Jackson, KY – Eastern Kentucky residents are waking up to bitter cold this morning, with wind chills between zero and 10 degrees. The National Weather Service warns that early morning temperatures will feel especially harsh, so anyone heading outside should bundle up.
According to the National Weather Service, today’s high will reach 33 degrees under mostly sunny skies. Tonight, temperatures will plummet to 12 degrees with calm winds. A gradual warm-up begins Saturday, with highs reaching 43 degrees and lows dipping to 19.
Sunday will bring more improvement, with temperatures climbing to 47 degrees, followed by a jump to the mid-50s Monday. By Tuesday, a chance of rain enters the forecast, with highs nearing 59.
Residents should prepare for the cold early today but can look forward to a milder and sunnier weekend.
