Paducah, KY – Warm, sunny skies will give way to a stretch of thunderstorms across western Kentucky beginning late Monday night, with showers and storms likely every day through Thursday evening.

According to the US National Weather Service in Paducah, a frontal boundary will push southward into the region late tonight, setting up multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms starting early Tuesday. High temperatures will remain in the 70s and 80s, while overnight lows dip into the 60s.

Storm chances will increase late Monday in southern Illinois, before spreading southeastward across Kentucky throughout Tuesday. Heavy rainfall, isolated flooding, and gusty winds could impact travel on major routes like Interstate 24 and U.S. Highway 60. Cities including Paducah, Murray, and Mayfield should prepare for potential street flooding and power outages during stronger storms.

Residents are urged to secure outdoor items, avoid driving through flooded roadways, and monitor weather updates closely through Thursday night. Storm activity may peak Tuesday afternoon and again Wednesday evening, with additional alerts possible if conditions worsen.

Warnings remain in effect through Thursday, with clearing conditions expected by Friday.
