Louisville, Ky. – Warm, sunny days will dominate Kentucky’s midweek weather, but residents should prepare for a shift as scattered showers and thunderstorms move in by Thursday.

According to the National Weather Service in Louisville, temperatures will climb into the low to mid-80s Tuesday and Wednesday, with mostly sunny skies and mild overnight lows in the upper 40s and low 50s. Conditions will remain dry and pleasant through Wednesday evening, offering a prime window for outdoor work, travel, and spring activities.

Cities including Lexington, Bowling Green, and Elizabethtown will see highs near 80°F, while eastern Kentucky communities like Pikeville and Hazard stay slightly cooler in the upper 70s. Fog may develop early Tuesday morning, especially in low-lying areas, before clearing out by mid-morning.

Drivers should take caution during early commutes due to patchy fog, particularly along I-64 and I-65 corridors. Residents are encouraged to take advantage of the dry stretch to complete yardwork or prepare for potential rain later in the week.

Rain chances increase late Wednesday night, with scattered showers and possible storms expected throughout Thursday. While severe weather is not yet certain, updates from the NWS are expected.

Storm advisories may follow as conditions develop—check back for the latest alerts by Wednesday evening.
