Paducah, KY – A significant weather alert is in effect for Paducah, Kentucky, as the region braces for ongoing flooding and a risk of frost this weekend and into next week.

According to the National Weather Service, a Flood Warning remains in effect until further notice, and residents are urged to remain cautious of rising river levels, especially along the Ohio River. This warning follows continued rainfall that has caused moderate flooding across the area.

This spring weather alert is compounded by a frost advisory that will affect Paducah and surrounding areas on Monday night. Low temperatures are expected to dip into the mid-30s, threatening the tender plants that have already begun to bloom.

As the Flood Warning persists, the Ohio River near Paducah continues to rise, and localized flooding could affect roadways, including U.S. Route 45. Areas along rivers, streams, and creeks should remain vigilant, especially in Ballard, Carlisle, and McCracken Counties.

Looking ahead to Sunday, April 13, Paducah will see a high of 74°F with mostly clear skies. Expect temperatures to remain mild into the early part of the week. On Monday, April 14, Paducah’s high will reach 76°F, but be prepared for Monday night’s frost.

The five-day forecast for Paducah predicts sunny weather through Tuesday, with temperatures rising to 76°F before another chance of showers on Wednesday. For the extended forecast, temperatures will moderate throughout the week, with highs in the low to mid-70s and lows dipping into the 40s to 50s. Residents should stay updated on weather alerts and take precautions to protect plants from frost.
