Louisville, KY – Rain showers are lingering across Kentucky this morning, with clearing skies expected west of I-65 by afternoon. However, colder air is set to filter in by Thursday, bringing a mix of rain and snow to the region. Drivers should prepare for slick road conditions, particularly during the evening commute on Thursday.
According to the National Weather Service, today’s high will reach 69 degrees in Louisville, with light showers tapering off by noon. Tonight, temperatures will drop to the mid-40s under partly cloudy skies, leading to patchy fog in some areas. Wednesday will bring mostly dry conditions, with highs in the mid-50s, before precipitation returns late in the evening.
Thursday’s forecast calls for a slight chance of snow flurries before noon, followed by a rain-and-snow mix as temperatures hover in the low 40s. Winds may gust up to 21 mph, creating additional hazards for drivers on major roadways like I-65 and I-64.
Looking ahead, Friday will be mostly cloudy with highs near 47 degrees, while Saturday promises a return to sunny skies and highs in the upper 40s.
Residents are advised to monitor weather updates and plan ahead for Thursday’s wintry conditions. Keep an eye on roads for potential ice and stay cautious during commutes.
