Paducah, KY – Western Kentucky will trade spring storms for early summer heat as Thursday afternoon thunderstorms roll through the Paducah region, potentially disrupting travel and outdoor plans ahead of Mother’s Day weekend.

Friday night will clear out quickly, setting up a drier and warmer weekend. Saturday brings partly cloudy skies and highs in the mid-70s, while Sunday — Mother’s Day — turns warm and slightly humid with a high near 77°F and a slight chance of late-day showers.

Looking ahead, Monday and Tuesday could see a return of storms, with thunder possible after 1 p.m. Monday and highs reaching into the upper 70s. By Wednesday, Paducah will feel like summer with highs near 86°F under mostly sunny skies.
