Louisville, KY – Rain is set to dominate Louisville’s forecast this weekend as showers and strong winds push through the area. The National Weather Service reports a 100% chance of rain overnight Saturday into Sunday, with gusts up to 23 mph creating breezy conditions. Residents should plan for wet roadways, especially along I-65 and I-71, and avoid unnecessary travel during peak rainfall periods.

According to the National Weather Service, today’s high will reach 53°F, with rainfall increasing after 5 p.m. Tonight’s showers will keep conditions wet and temperatures mild, with lows around 45°F. Sunday will bring continued rain through the afternoon, accompanied by unseasonably warm temperatures, peaking near 56°F. Drivers should remain cautious of slick roads as rain accumulates.

Looking ahead, Monday will see heavier showers, particularly in the morning, as temperatures reach 60°F. Winds will pick up, with gusts nearing 23 mph. Rain will taper off Monday night, but up to an inch of precipitation is expected before clearing begins Tuesday. Tuesday’s forecast promises a brief break, with mostly sunny skies and highs of 51°F.

By midweek, Louisville residents can expect cooler conditions to return. Showers are likely again on Wednesday morning, with highs around 50°F. Temperatures will drop steadily afterward, bringing lows near 30°F by Thursday night.
