Louisville, KY – A cold front is sweeping through Kentucky tonight, bringing a Freeze Warning that will last until Wednesday morning. The National Weather Service issued the warning due to the expected drop in temperatures, with lows ranging from 26°F to 31°F in many locations.
According to the National Weather Service in Louisville, chilly conditions will persist throughout the day on Tuesday, with high temperatures reaching only 45°F to 50°F. The cold front will also bring a second Freeze Warning for Tuesday night, with temperatures dipping again to 27°F to 32°F.
In addition to cold temperatures, residents should expect mild improvements as Wednesday and Thursday bring milder conditions, with highs ranging from 55°F to 65°F on Wednesday, and 64°F to 69°F on Thursday.
The National Weather Service urges all Kentuckians to take precautions, including protecting plants from the cold, as temperatures remain below freezing overnight.
