Kentucky Weather Alert: Cold, Snow, and Flood Risks Continue Through the Weekend

Paducah, KY – Residents across western Kentucky face a mix of dangerous conditions as cold temperatures, snow, and river flooding persist into the weekend.

According to the National Weather Service, a Cold Weather Advisory remains in effect through Thursday morning, with wind chills plunging as low as -14 degrees. Additionally, a Flood Warning along the Ohio River at Paducah will remain in effect until Friday, February 28, as water levels continue to crest.

The extended forecast calls for mostly sunny skies on Thursday with a high near 20°F, but temperatures will drop to 1°F overnight with patchy fog developing. By Friday, highs will reach 29°F, with early morning fog giving way to clear skies.

The weekend will bring a warming trend, with highs near 37°F on Saturday and 45°F on Sunday, as winds shift southward. However, residents should continue to exercise caution on icy roads and avoid flooded areas.
