Paducah, KY – A mild and sunny start to the week in western Kentucky will give way to rain and strong winds by Tuesday. Temperatures will gradually rise before unsettled spring weather moves into the region, bringing a 90% chance of rain and gusts over 30 mph.

According to the National Weather Service, Monday will be mostly sunny with a high near 56°F, followed by increasing winds Monday night. By Tuesday afternoon, steady rainfall is expected, with wind gusts reaching up to 32 mph. Rain will persist into Tuesday night before tapering off early Wednesday.

Drivers on Interstate 24 and U.S. Highway 60 should prepare for slick roads and reduced visibility during Tuesday’s rainfall. Winds may also pose a challenge for high-profile vehicles. Residents are advised to secure outdoor furniture and check local forecasts for potential weather alerts.

Wednesday will be mostly cloudy with a high near 52°F and a slight chance of lingering rain in the morning. Winds will remain breezy, with gusts up to 32 mph. By Thursday, conditions improve with sunshine and highs around 50°F.

Looking ahead, rain chances return Friday and Saturday as temperatures hover in the upper 50s. Spring weather is beginning to settle in, but early March will still bring fluctuating conditions. Stay updated with the latest forecasts as the week progresses.
