Louisville, Ky. – Sunny skies will hold through midweek in Kentucky, but showers and storms could drench roads and disrupt plans by Thursday night.

According to the National Weather Service, Louisville will stay mostly sunny and dry through Wednesday evening, with highs reaching 77°F on Tuesday and peaking near 81°F on Wednesday. But beginning Thursday, Jefferson County residents should prepare for increasing clouds, a 50% chance of storms, and possible travel slowdowns — especially for drivers along I-65 and I-64.

Rain chances climb further into Friday, reaching 90% by morning. The NWS warns of thunderstorms developing Thursday night into early Friday. Localized downpours could impact school commutes and early morning traffic. While no flood alerts are currently posted, sudden heavy rainfall may trigger low-visibility or ponding on major roads.
