Kansas – A few scattered showers and storms are possible this afternoon across central and eastern Kansas, but calm weather will return by the end of the week. The National Weather Service in Wichita predicts highs between 70°F and 75°F today, with the threat of isolated storms from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.

According to the NWS, the wet weather will mainly affect areas from Salina to Wichita, with a brief window of storm activity during the afternoon hours. Residents in these areas should be prepared for a quick downpour and possible lightning. However, conditions will dry out for the rest of the week, offering clear skies and comfortable temperatures.

The forecast calls for highs between 73°F and 79°F on Friday, with lows dipping to around 46°F to 49°F. Saturday and Sunday will feature similar conditions, with highs in the 75°F to 80°F range. Winds will pick up slightly on Monday, but dry, sunny conditions will dominate through the weekend.
