Dodge City, KS – Rain is set to impact Kansas starting tonight and into Easter Sunday, bringing cool temperatures and significant rainfall. According to the National Weather Service, precipitation will begin after midnight Saturday, with heavier rains expected in the eastern and southern parts of the state.

The rain is expected to last through Sunday, and some areas could see rainfall totals of up to 1.5 inches, especially in the southeastern parts of Kansas. Dodge City, Elkhart, and Liberal will experience lighter showers, while places like Pratt and Medicine Lodge could see more substantial rainfall, especially by Sunday afternoon.

High temperatures on Easter Sunday will hover around the 60s in the western areas, while eastern regions will be in the low 50s, with rain continuing to affect daily activities. As the rain moves in, drivers are urged to remain cautious on the roadways, particularly in areas with a higher likelihood of downpours and slippery conditions.
