Wichita, KS – Hot temperatures are expected across Kansas today and Monday, with highs approaching 100 degrees. A weak cold front is anticipated to move through most of the area by Tuesday morning, bringing some relief with highs mainly in the 90s thereafter.

According to the US National Weather Service in Wichita, Kansas, areas like Salina and Hutchinson could see temperatures reach up to 100 degrees today, while cities such as Topeka, Wichita, and Emporia will experience highs in the upper 90s. The extreme heat will continue into Monday with forecast highs ranging between 98 to 103 degrees.

By Tuesday, a weak cold front is expected to bring slightly cooler temperatures, though highs will still remain in the 90s, with the warmest areas being in southern Kansas. Low temperatures are predicted to stay between 90 to 100 degrees during this period, offering little overnight relief.

Rain chances are set to return late Wednesday, particularly across central Kansas, providing a much-needed respite from the heat. Storms are possible, with highs expected to range between 93 to 100 degrees.
