Kansas City, MO – A stretch of warm, dry November weather continues across western Missouri and eastern Kansas, with temperatures running well above normal through the weekend. Highs will peak in the mid-60s to mid-70s depending on location, according to the National Weather Service Kansas City office.
Forecasters say there is a 30 to 65 percent chance of dense fog developing late tonight into early Friday morning, mainly west of I-35. Visibility could fall below one mile, potentially impacting the Friday morning commute for areas including St. Joseph, Leavenworth, and Maryville.
Above-normal temperatures dominate the weekend outlook, with highs expected to reach the upper 60s and low-to-mid 70s Friday and Saturday across much of the region. Dry air and breezy conditions may contribute to elevated fire weather concerns Saturday afternoon ahead of and behind a weak dry front.
Sunday brings slightly cooler temperatures but still remains warmer than average for mid-November. Highs will settle into the upper 50s and 60s with light winds and continued dry conditions. Rain chances are expected to return on Monday as moisture increases and temperatures begin to trend downward.
Drivers west of I-35 should plan for potential fog-related delays Friday morning, while those outdoors Saturday should use caution due to increased fire danger.
